The full day course, presented by the Central Australian Women’s Legal Service, covers foundational information, in addition to the development of practical skills to respond to clients and patients at risk of experiencing DFSV.
On completion of our full day workshop, participants will:
- Strengthen their understandings of the nature & dynamics of family violence in the Northern Territory
- Gain insight into the legal responses to DFV, including mandatory reporting obligations;
- Connect with a broad range of local service providers and DFSV specialists to understand the role of each service in crisis management and prevention;
- Develop an understanding of how to support an integrated and trauma-informed response focused on client needs and capability; and
- Develop confidence in accessing referral pathways & conducting initial safety planning
