Victims of Crime NT Sanctuary Launch

Event Details

VoCNT warmly invites you to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of connection, reflection, and celebration with a grazing board, canapes and drinks as we celebrate becoming a Sanctuary Certified Organisation.

Our special guest speaker The NT Coroner, Elizabeth Armitage will speak about the importance of Trauma Informed Practice in the criminal justice system. You’ll also have an opportunity to learn a little about what Sanctuary means in practice from the Sanctuary National Program Director, Cameron Burgess.

Sanctuary

The Sanctuary Model is a trauma‑informed organisational change framework that actively strengthens safety, recovery, and growth from adversity for both staff and the people we serve. As the first independently certified Sanctuary Organisation in the Northern Territory, and the first of our kind nationally, VoCNT is proud to lead the advancement of trauma‑informed practice across the NT. Our certification strongly affirms our commitment to building a trauma‑responsive and sensitive community that recognises adversity as a universal human experience, and to creating the conditions necessary for healing, recovery, growth and change.

Please RSVP by Thursday 2nd April to secure your spot.

We invite partner service providers to bring an appropriate person with lived experience as your +1.

This is an invitation only event.
