Working Together for Safer, Stronger Housing Pathways
This cross-sector training has been developed through consultation with workers across housing, homelessness, mental health and AOD services, ensuring it reflects real frontline challenges and practical, culturally safe solutions.
Designed for housing and homelessness workers supporting people with complex mental health and AOD needs.
Participants will learn to:
- Strengthen mental health and AOD literacy
- Understand trauma and its impact on tenancy
- Apply strategies to manage tenancy risk
- Engage in culturally safe and trauma-informed ways
- Respond to early warning signs and difficult situations
- Use scenario-based learning and practical tools
This training helps workers maintain tenancies, have difficult conversations and support safer housing outcomes.
