Identifying & Responding to DFSV in Central Australia – Advanced

Designed to build frontline skills in strength-based, trauma-informed DFSV screening, risk assessment, management and safety planning.
Essential training for frontline workers in Central Australia on identifying + responding to DFSV with practical, trauma-informed approaches
This training equips frontline workers in Central Australia with deeper knowledge and skills toidentify and respond to clients or patients at risk ofdomestic, family, and sexual violence.
Over a full day, participants will explore foundational concepts, develop practical skills, and connect with local DFSV services. This subsidised training ensures participants leave equipped to provide integrated, trauma-informed support to clients and patients at risk.
*It is recommended participants have already completed NT RAMF training before participation in CAWLS Advanced Course
Key Learning Outcomes
- Deepen understandings of the nature & dynamics of family violence in Central Australia including responding to cases of misidentification;
- Consolidate skills in trauma-informed approaches to screening for DFSV;
- Develop confidence in risk assessment processes and understanding of supporting frameworks and schemes including information sharing;
- Practice strength-based approaches to risk management and safety planning.
Running Time: 8.30 am – 4.30 pm.
Cost: $110 + booking fee
