genU Training – Supporting U to Support Others
genU Training will share an overview of how their nationally recognised, values-driven training model supports the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) workforce to build skills, confidence and sustainable career pathways.
As a not-for-profit RTO with deep expertise across AOD, mental health, disability and community services, genU designs training that responds directly to sector needs. This session will explore how genU delivers culturally responsive, practical and job-ready training that supports staff to provide brief interventions, work with co-existing mental health challenges, and apply integrated approaches in practice.
The webinar will also highlight how genU’s flexible delivery models, including blended online learning, live virtual classrooms, after-hours options and tailored trainer support, are particularly suited to the Northern Territory context, helping staff in remote and regional settings build capability without stepping away from frontline work. Pathways including micro-credentials, professional development, and accredited qualifications such as Cert IV options will also be discussed.
This session is ideal for services and practitioners interested in workforce development, retention and strengthening AOD capability across the NT.
