Family Support Worker –  Darwin/Palmerston/Surrounding Areas – Full Time (Fixed Term Contract)

About the Position

The Family Support Worker will work together with whole families to keep children safely in the home. You will help children keep connected to family, culture and community while helping parents and caregivers strengthen their skills to provide healthy relationships, learning opportunities and supportive environments for children to grow up in.

This role will use a trauma-informed and strength-based case management approach to supporting families to achieve their desired goals and those identified by Child Protection, to strengthen their access to specialised services and expand their social and community connectedness.

This position is a full time, fixed-term contract ending 30 June 2020 with expected extension.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
