Team Leader – Out of Home Care Program ∙ Based in Darwin ∙ Fixed Term 12 Month Contract

About the Opportunity
Coordinate one of our trauma informed 24/7 home like residential care services for older children / young people in the care of the Territory Families CEO. Ensure the service is youth friendly, safe, culturally connected, outcome focused and complies with contemporary approaches, standards and contract requirements.
You will excel in engaging young people, be adept at de-escalation strategies, pro-active in supporting your team and have a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, management and Territory Families. You need to be both qualified and experienced to do this job. A high level of positivity and resilience is needed along with a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people currently in and / or preparing to leave the statutory care system.
This position is based at the OOHC service and involves limited shift work. You will also be part of the 24/7 On Call and back up system which supports our services after hours.
Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
