What is the Keeping Women Safe in Their Home program?
Keeping Women Safe in Their Home is a program designed to undertake risk assessment, safety planning and security upgrades for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence so that they can stay in their own homes, or a home of their choice, where it is safe to do so. The program aims to achieve positive outcomes for families, women and their children to improve safety, well-being and reduce violence against women and their children.
What sort of services can we provide?
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including the option for improved safety of their home as a response of domestic violence
- Undertake safety planning, property audits and technology risk assessments as part of a comprehensive case management plan
- Implement security upgrades in line with the risk assessment to secure the home
- Provide information, support and referrals to relevant service providers
