Transition to Work Service
YouthWorX NT is funded by the Australian Government to provide the Transition to Work (TtW) Service in Darwin, Casuarina and Palmerston. The service provides vocational guidance and a range of skills and capabilities building activities to young people aged between 15 to 21 years who live in the service areas. It also offers a range of real world opportunities such as work tasters, work experience and mentoring in addition to making connections between young people and organisations in the community who can help them to achieve their goals.
CareerStart Pre-employment Training Programs
CareerStart Pre-employment Training Programs have been developed in response to skill shortage areas in the trades, and to offer young people studying vocational training additional support with the aim to lead to employment.
YouthWorX NT liaises with local training providers, employers and provides participants with individual job coaching and teaches skills for job seeking. This support includes work experience, concurrent and ongoing mentoring and support for the learners.
