Families and Schools Together (FAST)

A program that focuses on strengthening families by improving their relationships within the family and between families and schools. All families can join a FAST program.

Baby FAST, Kids FAST and Youth FAST operate across various locations in the Northern Territory. Families attend the eight-week program, which involves coming together once a week and intentionally spending time together as a family.

Activities may include sharing a meal and undertaking family activities. Participants also have the opportunity to be involved in Parent Group and Kids Time.

FAST is an evidence based program utilising strengths-based approach and provides training for local community members and agency workers to run the program. Parents are empowered to be the leaders of their families.
